Here's Jessica......
I was so excited when liZ and elizabeth asked me to be a part of the Vintage Crafter's Challenge!
I love vintage things and when I opened their package I was thrilled with what I found!
However, it sat on my sewing table for about 10 days before I could decide what to do with it - finally my inspiration was........
Market Season!
Our farmer's market starts in May and I needed a new bag to collect all my goodies in - as well as awesome finds from our Flea Market...so that is what I set out to do!
I used the table runner as the center piece for the bag -
I cut the fat quarters into triangles - combined with some of my own fabrics - to create the side detailing.
I used the bias tape to finish the top and the straps- and put the buttons on a strap just for cuteness sake.

I also lined the bag, and put a piece of cardboard in the bottom to stabilize it.
If you're interested in making one, I'll have the tutorial up on my site later this week. Thanks again to the Simple Simon girls for dreaming up such a fun challenge and for asking me to be a part of it!
