  36. Today I am having a pyjamas day, it's a rainy weekend, cold and dark outside! IF my kiddies decide to have a nap I will continue working on my puff quilt and my half square triangle chevron quilt-both for my twins, progress is slow! I love the puff quilt above, maybe if I did it like that it would take as long and I wouldn't have to make as many puffs! Sounds good to me!

  45. Currently, I have a bunch of half-done projects... isn't that the way everyone sews? cut out something, then start another project, then cut a third, then sew the one you had cut to begin with... then begin a 4th.... but remember the second one was due to ship a week ago...

but seriously... I'm making a flannel night gown for an adorable little girl and her favorite baby doll to match. She's a tough fit... an almost 4 yr old who is between a 6X and 8. Tall, but with a toddler's buddha belly still... and young... so her momma needs something that reflects that she's NOT indeed 8... even though she's as tall as a 7-8 yr old.....

Also working on teaching myself baby clothes so I can move my shop more in that direction... when I started making doll clothes for my niece for Christmas, I realized that as much as I had avoided clothing... Oh My! I adore it!!! It's so much more instant gratification that quilting....

I also have the fabric for my new curtains, pillow slipcovers, and the upholstery to redo an antique chair I bought at a yard sale two years ago that's been sitting, still ugly black chipped lacquer and school bus yellow velvet corduroy... Yes... it's a treat for your eyes, lemme tell ya! For Valentine's Day, Hubbs treated me to funding for redecorating the bedroom! We've been married for 5 years this year, and sometime around our anniversary in August, we should have a brand new, amazing Master Retreat! (Going to take a while because we're removing 110 year old plaster and latt and putting in sheetrock... and he's building me a king size farmhouse bed (a la Ana White! TO match my RH 9 foot long farmhouse table he already built me!) and I'll be refinishing all of the actual furniture in the room one piece at a time, also... Finally finding a comforter that n I loved put the room on the move! We're off and running now!

    1. Interestingly enough... HBL was the VERY FIRST blog I subbed to when I started sewing 18 months ago!!! I fell in love with the puff quilt, and it's still on my To Do list for the master bedroom. It was going to be our primary bedding, and that's overwhelming to a new sewer in KING size... lol... but now I can make smaller throw size ones... one for the bed and one for the chair.... :)

      thanks for the giveaway!
