Remember some of these projects? Well, this weekend you'll be able to find them here:Over spring break I found bins and bins full of projects that I went a little crazy with....the baby shoes, the headbands, the tote bags, the scripture bags, the wrist cuffs, the recipe boxes, the peg dolls, the, well, you get the picture.I have a lot of stuff and while I love it I don't need to hoard bins full of it. Hence the boutique. And Battlecreek is a fun one. Why? Because while you shop they are making ... View the Post
A Spring Jumper.
Liz is usually the jumper girl....but this time it's my turn. I used THIS Simplicity pattern from the 99 cent sale last fall. I still need to rework the bodice, it turned out super huge under the armpits. See? And this time I lined the bodice.....so it will be an unpicking session to fix it. So, it's back on the sewing pile. But I did at least get a picture to post for today before the thunderstorm hit. That's a bit of good news.I love this fabric. It is polished cotton that was on SALE ... View the Post

It’s Done….and we can officially have Easter.

An Easter Post
So, one Easter outfit has been ready for awhile....it's just Hannah's dress that is giving me grief (dress #2 actually). Hopefully I can finish it up this morning and show you tonight...(if the weather is good enough for some pictures. I have this idea for a photo shoot.....and I need good weather.) I made Isaac's pants using Oliver + S's Sailboat Pants Pattern (this pattern was a total splurge for me).....but I love, love, love the way they came out. I used a heavier-weight twill fabric ... Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue
Recently I went to the bridal shower my friend was having for her daughter. This is part of the gift that I took: I went with the idea of that old saying something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. What was old? The apron was made using a pattern from the 50's and out of a vintage sheet I had purchased awhile back. (I really, really loved that fabric.) What was new? In her package were some spanking new oven mitts and hot pads---the exact color of the waistband on her ... View the Post
