What Do You Find Yourself Sewing Most Often

Now the question of the day is, "What do you find yourself sewing most often?"  Which isn't always the same as "What is your favorite thing to sew?"   I ask this question today because this week is all about ragged projects here on the blog...and I love them...and there was a time when I was doing craft fairs when I was sewing about 15 ragged tote bags a day.  Now, at that time I would have without a doubt said that I find myself sewing ragged tote bags most often. But after I ... View the Post

Rag-a-Palooza (Ragged Bag and Ragged Blanket Tutorials)

It's the packages that really get me.  When I hold the items that you've made suddenly ... View the Post

Your First Sewing Project

What was your first sewing project that you completed on your own? Do you remember? I do.  I never wanted to sew or do anything even remotely related to anything domestic...you've all heard my stories...getting kicked out of junior high home ec...crying when my mom gave me a sewing machine for my first married Christmas...etc etc etc...so when my mom dragged me to a quilting class I figured the only redeeming part of the night would be the fact that the quilt shop shared a parking lot with ...
