Over the summer I've been working on a few projects that I haven't had a chance to share yet. Like this field journal and messenger bag that I made for Simon. The fabric came from a fat quarter bundle that we received in the mail from Coats and Clark. It is a sneak peak at a brand new line that will be released in the United States next month! The line is designed by Tim Holtz and is called Eclectic Elements. The line has a great turn of the century vibe and it reminds me of adventures, ... View the Post
Strange Things Are Afoot At the Circle K…And It’s Going to Keep Coming…
A long time ago in a galaxy far far away (a year and a half ago in Elizabeth's van on the way home from a pattern drafting course) we has this idea to make T-shirts for ourselves and our kids. And we brainstormed a list of like 150 different shirts that we wanted to make. But we didn't have the tools necessary and time went by. And the idea was put on the shelf. Until recently a few weeks ago when the UPS man delivered these to our doorsteps: Brand new Cricut mini's!!! (I have wanted one of ... View the Post

But for most of the trip I was alone with the kids, and because I have different ages of children who are at different stages of life.....finding something everyone wanted to do was sometimes ... The other day Ruth and I were at the grocery store. I needed to grab a few things for dinner, it was getting late in the evening, and I had a hungry family. So as I'm whisking up and down the aisles systematically gathering the items on my list I came to a halt. There in front of the tomatoes was an older gentleman reading something on his ... Skirting the Issue: Bereavement Gown Pattern
Today we'd like to share the links to patterns for Bereavement Gowns. The pattern I used to make the gowns pictured above came from this site: Angel Babies Info Once there click on patterns and you will find a downloadable pattern and step by step instructions for the "Tea Towel Gown". Heidi (the wonderful lady who runs the Angel Babies site) also has another pattern. It is a different style and very simple to make. The instructions for that gown can be found on her blog. The direct ... View the Post
