$5 Friday

$5 Friday–Wanna see a $5 craft fail?

Ok, ok, in my brain this was going to be a darlingly cute skirt. Reality---not so much. But the pictures made me laugh hysterically today. You see this inspiration (it's no longer there but that is where I got the image from) that I found and pinned and thought was so cute. As a side note, I love to look at Japanese children's clothing...there are some cute things. A giant bow on a skirt. Darling.  (This was pinned long before I saw giant bows on everyone's skirts that turned out much cuter ... View the Post

Melly and Me…Kind of

When I first started sewing (which wasn't that long ago) I fell in love with all the adorable Melly and Me patterns that I saw everywhere I went. I seriously think I bought one of every animal pattern they make. But then I was too scared to try them and put them all in a giant Ziploc bag and tucked them away in a drawer where they stayed until I just recently uncovered them. And being no longer afraid. I got to work. The first thing I made was this adorable cat bag. Grace loves cats and ... View the Post

Thoughts

Did you miss me?

I have just gotten back from an over a month long excursion.  But, luckily I worked my tail off in June and got most of the posts up before I left....so you probably didn't even know I was gone.  Did you?  (Ok I did a couple of guest posts while I was there....)Sneaky I tell you......but I couldn't very well let the scaries know that my house was empty.  That's another thing you should know about me....paranoia.Here's where I was.My great-grandparents bought a small fishing cottage on a small ...
