Today I am sharing with you the kids' holiday jammies that they opened for Christmas Eve. As much as I love the look of holiday print jammies {I wish I would have done some for the whole season} I just wanted something a little more year-round because I started so late in the pajama game. So, I went with orange and navy. A good combo for the boys and a girl....and thankfully I did get them done (allbeit, Christmas Eve morning....but they did get their buttons on!) This is the nightgown I made ... View the Post

Boy’s Pajama Shirt Tutorial
Here is the tutorial for the boys' pajamas that we used in Project Run and Play last week. I made another pair for this little cutie and took some pictures this time. Can I pause for a minute to tell you how much I love this kid? And how his adoption was such a miracle. Truly. I really need to tell you all the stories, but I have just been keeping them in my heart for a year now. They need to be shared, but I feel so protective of his birthmomma, who loves that little boy dearly and made ... View the Post
Project Run and Play– Feather Tutu Tutorial
This feather tutu was a fun project. I will warn you that there is some handstitching involved....but I found that it holds better and the results make it well worth the hour or so to get it done. (Learn from me. My original plan was to tack in on by machine every couple of inches....but it sagged in a lot of spots....so I ended up handstitching it on anyway.) Here's what you will need to make one yourself. * White muslin-or any other broadcloth or cotton that you want to use for the ... View the Post
Vintage Crafter’s Challenge. Liz.
Grace loves all things pink. And for awhile now I've been hoarding yards of hot pink fabric that my grandmother bought years and years ago to back a quilt with. Finally last week I decided that it was time to start using it. And came up with this: Here's my supply list: *1 Simplicity Pattern (#7903) from 1977 *1 Fat Quarter of crazy turquoise and pink floral (from a cut of fabric Elizabeth and I found out thrifting) *1 long piece of ivory colored vintage lace (also picked up at a local ... Vintage Crafter’s Challenge. Elizabeth.
For my Vintage Crafter's Challenge I decided to make-over two doll beds that I found at a yard sale last summer. I got them for a steal and was so happy to find them. They did come with little foam mattresses and some homemade quilts. But they were a bit 80's and I wanted something that matched Hannah's room a little better than the pastel blue and yellow. So, I spray-painted the doll beds white and then when I came across a dresser scarf with two embroidered ends I knew that I wanted to ... View the Post
A Vintage Dishtowel Apron Skirt. And a tutorial.
I got this idea when I was cleaning out my sewing closet and found a bunch of vintage embroidered dish towels that I had found at an estate sale last summer. I was wondering what to do with them and realized how cute they would be on a skirt. I know that it's probably not a new skirt idea....but here is my result. This particular embroidered piece is actually a dresser scarf...so it has two embroidered ends. I took it to my local quilting store to match fabric and I love the way is turned ... View the Post
