A couple of months ago liZ and I flew to Colorado to film some courses with Craft University, which is an online education program for those who want to learn new crafting techniques, deepen their understanding of a current craft, and learn skills including quilting, sewing, knitting, jewelry making, beading, spinning, weaving, crochet and more. Craft University makes learning new crafting techniques or expanding on skills you already have, both fun and rewarding. You can complete lessons ... View the Post

Book Tour–Polka Dot Chair
The internet can be a lot of things...and while sometimes it can be stupid and scary at other times it can be wonderful and amazing.....today is a case of one of the wonderful times. Because of the internet we were introduced to Melissa from The Polka Dot Chair and because we were introduced we became "virtual" friends and because we became "virtual" friends we have become "real life friends". Melissa is a friend that we get to cross paths with several times a year and gives us a great ... View the Post
Building Blocks Quilt Pattern (FREE PDF PATTERN!)
Every Friday night our family tries to do "movie night." I love that it's a good way to unwind from the week and when everything is dark and still I love to peek around and find everyone cuddled in a homemade quilt, snuggled warm and cozy. I finished this quilt a while ago to add to our "family movie night" ... View the Post

Simple Simon: Off the Blog
Even though it's only April we feel like 2016 has already given us an entire year's worth of events. For me, at home, it's been a bit of a catastrophe carnival....both vehicles, my computer, my camera, and my phone have all died. (However, we resurrected my computer with a combination of electrical and duct tape! It was a miracle!) And then of course you have heard me talk about my mom and the stroke she suffered during an operation last month. (Although, as you read this she will be on ... View the Post
