I don't know about you, but I am desperately trying to finish up handmade gifts this week. I gave myself the deadline that they have to be done by the time the kids are out of school--because then, I have told myself that kid-time is just more important than sewing. (Do you think I will second-guess that thought when the fighting begins two days in Christmas break?....Ummm...probably.) So, long-story-short, my house is a mess.....but I have been working through the list. I have two quilt ... View the Post

Lookbook: A New Coat on the Block.
This coat is actually one of my favorite pieces that I made for the Lookbook this season. The pictures don't do it justice (it's a bit hard to photograph navy blue on a rainy day) but trust me when I say that it is DARLING in real life. I decided in the beginning that a color-blocked coat as part of the looks to mix and match for the colder weather which tends to suddenly hit.It is made from navy blue gabardine (which I used a coupon for) and winter white gabardine at the bottom for the bit ... The Pajama Game
Today I am sharing with you the kids' holiday jammies that they opened for Christmas Eve. As much as I love the look of holiday print jammies {I wish I would have done some for the whole season} I just wanted something a little more year-round because I started so late in the pajama game. So, I went with orange and navy. A good combo for the boys and a girl....and thankfully I did get them done (allbeit, Christmas Eve morning....but they did get their buttons on!) This is the nightgown I made ... View the Post
Boy’s Pajama Shirt Tutorial
Here is the tutorial for the boys' pajamas that we used in Project Run and Play last week. I made another pair for this little cutie and took some pictures this time. Can I pause for a minute to tell you how much I love this kid? And how his adoption was such a miracle. Truly. I really need to tell you all the stories, but I have just been keeping them in my heart for a year now. They need to be shared, but I feel so protective of his birthmomma, who loves that little boy dearly and made ... View the Post
