So over the weekend Elizabeth and I made some real progress.
As you may or may not know we are chronic recluses. We love to be home…with our kids…in our pajamas….sewing…which lends itself nicely to blogging right? Right. Now, where was I? Oh…reclusivity…it’s our little secret.
Or maybe it’s not so secret.
As we found out this weekend our, shall we say, “problem” preceeds us.
Let me explain.
This weekend we attended:
(Which wasn’t held in our homes…and that we didn’t wear our pajamas to! Can you see the progress already?)
And…..WE ENJOYED IT! (I know, who would have guessed it!)
We made some really great new friends and got to meet in person friends who we had never had the opportunity to visit with face to face before.
Elizabeth and I actually made a list of friends that we wanted to visit with but since we are self proclaimed recluses just going up and introducing ourselves was a little intimidating—even if we already “knew” who we were introducing ourselves to. But the good news is this: we didn’t have to track everyone down—most of our friends found us first! And that was a challenge since there are no photos posted of us to offer any help—which turned into the standard joke…apparently we are the two girls with the same name who never show their faces. (Something which isn’t going to change any time soon.) And the others….well, they were just too nice not to approach.
Thank you to those of you who found us. It was wonderful to meet you.
Meeting other bloggers we discovered that most everyone is really just as nice in person as they are on the computer. Our only complaint is we didn’t get to spend as much time with everyone as we would have liked and we missed one person in particular that we were looking for (she knows who she is…darn it…next time though…).
So while we still won’t be posting photos of ourselves we did come out of hiding, if only for a few days.
And for the photo of SNAP!….well this is it. A blurry photo trying to get ISO right to go on a photo walk. Darn again. There’s always next year, right?
Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to organize SNAP! What a big undertaking….and what a way to put on a blogger’s weekend!
