Yesterday I came back from 3 nights away from home.
And while 3 nights isn’t a long time, when you are away from your family it feels like an eternity!
Elizabeth and I had been gone on an adventure (a cold, wet, funny, colorful, eventful adventure) which we enjoyed but we missed our family’s something terrible. (Yes we are babies.)
In fact when Elizabeth’s family came to pick us up from the airport she left me in the dust running across the crosswalk to get to them…but that’s ok I completely forgot to even say goodbye to her (or the rest of them) as I bolted out of the van on my way up to my front door.
I admit it. I’m a baby. I like to be home with my family.
When I got home the whole crew was there waiting—including my husband who took an unexpected day off of work and Simon who feigned an illness to be here when I arrived home as well.
They had decorated the house and we had an entire afternoon together. It was heaven.
I love to be home.
Yes…there are stories, funny quotes, and photos we need to share. But today we are unpacking, playing with the kids, and getting our homes back in order.
See you all tomorrow!
