A couple of weeks ago, I decided to organize my scrap bins....and well, kind of like "if you give a mouse a cookie" I ended up finding half of a jelly roll and decided rather than cleaning or organizing---I would make a jelly roll quilt out of the scraps (wayyyy more fun than cleaning ;) ... Churn Dash Quilt
At the beginning of the summer I finished up my churndash quilt that I was working on awhile ago. It was a project that kept me sane while we were moving....I swear sewing is sometimes the best stress-reliever I have ;) ... View the Post
An Arrow Quilt for a Boy’s Room
This quilt was one that I finished up before we moved, but I never did get a picture of or post about. Well, I finally found the box with this beauty inside and took it right outside to get a picture of it (this is my backyard view for right now.....which I love, I will be a bit sad when it is another subdivision in a couple of years). ... Quilt-as-you-go Tote Bag
Last week I pulled out some scrap fabrics to start a new quilt...but then decided to start a new project (I feel like I have crafting ADD sometimes) and make up a tote bag for summer instead. The quilt is still cut and waiting for me, but I am waiting for a 50% off coupon so that I can get a whole bolt of Kona white for the sashings (I am a cheapskate....I know.) But I do love this bag. It is BIG (great for summer) and it was an afternoon project. I used the quilt-as-you-go method that I ... View the Post
A Churndash Quilt

I think I am going with some sort of green but can't find what I want in my stash......which might mean a trip to the fabric store (who can resist that?). This guy is a big quilt.....the finished blocks are 9 1/2 if I remember right and the quilt is 6 rows across and 8 down with sashing in between. It's going to take quite a few nights of handsewing to get the binding on...but I promise to ... View the Post
A Scrumptiously Pink Quilt
When I first started quilting...it terrified me. I imagined that there was "one right way" to quilt and that if I didn't know how to do it right....I couldn't do it. But over the last 2 or so years that I have made quilts I have come to realize two things-- (1) There is no right and wrong way of quilting (just ask quilters how they press their seams!) and (2) it doesn't have to be a perfect quilt to be loved. And this pink quilt is no exception to the imperfect quilt fact----but I know it ... View the Post
