One of my goals this year is to "use up my stash." And while going through my scrap bins a couple of months ago I found 2 quilt kits that I bought um.....probably 3 years ago? (best guess) This is the first of them...and I will show you the second a bit later (it's not quite done yet). Sheesh....it's a good thing I am doing clean-outs....you never know what in the world I am going to find in the way of fabrics. Well, the fabric was there all neatly packaged up....but I couldn't ... A Halloween Quilt.
A month or two ago I decided to clean out the fabric scrap bins (yes, it is embarrassingly bins). So, I went through all of them and started sorting them by color. I threw away small pieces (I know some of you are cringing right now), gave away two grocery sack of others...and then got down to one bin of my own! Major improvement. Baby Coin Quilt
(Don't I have the best assistant ever? And thankfully she has a thing for gold shoes as well...) I told you earlier that one of my goals this year was to do a bit more quilting. It's been kind of a full-circle thing, because baby blankets and quilts were some of the first things I started sewing again after my first was born. And it's been really enjoyable to have a quilting project going that I can pick up and leave in between garment sewing. This one was a baby quilt for a cousin's ... View the Post
