DIY Knot Headband Tutorial

I have been seeing super cute knot headbands all over the place and I have been wanting to make some for Hannie....but I also wanted them to be something she could put on herself and not half to tie at the top of her head.  So, the other day I pulled out some Riley Blake knits and went to work on a prototype that would have a "fake knot" at the top so it was just a headband for easy putting on and off.  The first one I made the knot part was HUGE, so I scaled it down and it turned out (not all ... What to Give A Friend When They Lose A Loved One

When a friend looses a loved one sometimes it is hard to know how to best show them love and support. And I'm not very good at those situations...basically all I do is a lot of crying with and for them....and I always want to give them something...something useful.... A Spring Skirt—and a tutorial on an easy gathered skirt!

I have been doing some Spring sewing lately and this is one skirt that I am glad to say that Hannie is excited about wearing.  I found the amazing water-colored cotton sateen (I know you know but I am a BIG cotton sateen fan!) at Jo-Ann Fabrics and knew it would make an amazing Vintagely Modern Skirt.  I have made one every single Spring because I love them so and you can see different fabrics here and here. So another gathered skirt was in order this Spring but I changed the original tutorial ... View the Post
