The Art of Homemaking: This is the Greatest Show Three weeks ago today Simon graduated from high school. Three weeks and 28 years ago today I graduated from high school. At that time I would have never guessed the paths I would take and where life would lead me. And I certainly wouldn't have guessed that 28 years later I would be standing in the exact same place taking selfies with my son. A few days before Simon's graduation I attended Ruth's graduation....Ruth is ... View the Post
A Bento Box Quilt from the Past
A Bento Box Quilt from the Past It seems that I have made so many quilts for my grandparents that I have forgotten about some of them...and so...recently, as they are being returned to me, it feels as though I am being reacquainted with my old friends. And I've been feeling like a ... View the Post
What I Learned From My Home Renovation
As our home renovation project of doom is coming (hopefully) to a close I have been thinking about what I've learned from this whole experience. When we moved into our new-to-us home two months ago with only our three kids, a few bags full of basic necessities, and a plan...leaving all other worldly possessions in storage...we thought we knew what we were doing. Boy were we wrong. However, I think we have gotten a lot accomplished in those two months...in that time we have repainted ... View the Post
