A few weeks ago I was waiting in the carpool line in the rain for one of my teenagers so I pulled out my phone to text them where I was. And then I looked back at our text chain....and it went a little something like this. ... View the Post
The Magic of These Good Old Days (An Art of Homemaking Post)
The other morning I dropped my girls off at school. As I watched them walk into the building I heard the words of a song on the radio: "I wish somebody would have told me babe Some day, these will be the good old days..." Just then Grace turned around at the door and waved... ... View the Post
Quilt Market Prep and Other Happenings
Do you ever have those weeks where you feel like you are not getting a lot done? That's been me the last couple of weeks, and try as I might---I feel like by the end of the day I have accomplished nothing. So I tend to brush them off...and give them jobs like: Make sure everyone's shoes are put away or put a fork by everyone's plate for dinner. However, if you follow us over on Facebook you've heard about the home we bought and the renovation projects ... View the Post
Fabric Shopping in Puerto Vallarta Mexico
At the end of last year my husband and I had one of those "numbered" anniversaries. We haven't done much to celebrate in the past and so we decided it was kind of a good excuse to save up and plan for a short get-away trip. And if you know me in real life you would know that I love a good deal....so while we didn't have a specific destination planned (I was thinking it would be close but a warm vacation--it was in the winter) I ended up finding a GREAT deal on a 2 person trip to Mexico and ...
