Disney’s Jane Costume

This year Halloween is filled with lots of firsts and lasts at our house.  Isaac is 4 and so terribly excited for his "first real Halloween class party" and the oldest so graciously informed me that he didn't want a costume this year. My kids are at such different stages of life......but I am bound and determined to enjoy this Halloween with each of those different kids at each of their stages.  It's all so different for each of them.  The youngest can't wait to march in his own Halloween ... The Art of Homemaking: The Last Time

I don't usually post photographs of myself.  But this is one I don't want to forget. You see, I think it documents the last time my Simon will not be too old to hold his mother's hand. Last month we went with my parents to Disneyland.  (Thank you again Mom and Dad.)  I love that place...I'm still 8 years old every single time I walk inside those gates and I love every second of it...anyway...while we were there Simon was dying for me to ride "Screamin'" with him. So I did. When we climbed ... View the Post

Joi has had over 20 years of experience fitting real women and she shares that experience with you in her book "Creating the Perfect Fit".  We received a copy of it a few weeks ago and it is a terrific resource to have on hand.  Joi knows what she is talking ... Halloween Costume Collars (for lots of different costumes!)

This last Spring, we did a project for Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores for their Fall Lookbook.  For it, they gave us four themes and we brainstormed and sewed four projects up that fit those themes, which we love!  (We really do still love sewing for themes ;) For the Halloween Chic theme, we decided on some old-school Halloween Costume Collars that could be made with simple collar pattern....so the lion, the clown and the ballerina costumes were born!  And we really do love them....they were ... My Top Ten Favorite Ways To Use Baby Wipes

I've had babies and/or toddlers with me now for over a decade.  And I've LOVED every minute (I always say that I want to freeze time.)  These little people are my world... but they also are a lot of work! Holy smokes!  How can such small packages make such BIG messes???? It seems like every time I turn around something is sticky, dirty, or a different color than it used to be which is why I use baby wipes ALL. THE. TIME.  I really do.  They are like my-not-so-secret weapon... I have them in ... View the Post
