Today for $5 Friday I just wanted to post some of our favorite party games, pajama patterns, and gift ideas that are all under $5. And they all have the link to the instructions and tutorials underneath their photos. AND there are 13 items in the list because of today being Friday the 13th and all. DUN DUN DUN.... Let's start with parties: The games that are the easiest to put together and never seem to fail to get everyone involved and laughing are the ones from Minute to Win It. There are ... View the Post
I have been doing some sewing lately…….
Even though it doesn't look like it, I have been doing some garment sewing recently. And you will probably see more of these things in the future because it sometimes takes awhile behind the scenes to get them up and ready for you. (Especially this time of year...) So, I am giving you a couple of sneak peeks and one finished garment. (Yay for the finished one!) First up is a sneak peek of Hannie's Christmas dress.... DIY Giant Wooden Dominoes (A Homemade Christmas Gift Success Story)

So every year I find a project that my family and I can do together and donate. This year I chose scarves. Scarves were actually the first project that I had my family do way back when I started this Thanksgiving tradition ... View the Post
Great Gifts for the Sewing Blogger…..
How do you do gifts between you and your spouse? We struggled with this early on in our marriage because undoubtedly every year, someone would buy more gifts than the other person and it...ummm.... wasn't working so well. So about 5 or 6 years ago (it might be longer than that) we decided to set a limit. So, now the plan is that we do one bigger gift and then stocking stuffers. It was about the same year we really decided "more is just more" for gifts for the kids, so we completely scaled ... View the Post
