I Haven’t Even Had A Capri Sun!

Look at that face.Man, I love this kid.I cannot believe that she is old enough to go to kindergarten this year...and I cannot believe that summer is already over.  I had such big plans for this summer.  Actually, they weren't big plans--they were plans to spend long days in the backyard running through sprinklers, playing in the mud and getting sun burned.  But for some reason our plans were derailed quite a bit. How it happened I'll never know but we spent most of the summer with at least one ... A Little Bit of Neon (ok, it’s a lot of neon….)

This week I am sharing a few of our back-to-school outfits with "pops of neon."  I showed you the Bateau Dress already and up today is a neon pink skirt that was a big hit at first sight. I am sharing all the details over at Riley Blake's blog today.... See you there!!! ~Elizabeth ... View the Post

The Art of Homemaking: My Little Princesses

I feel a good cry coming on.Today my Grace will start kindergarten.Tomorrow my Baby Ruth turns 2. Neither of them are babies anymore. If I said it once I've said it a thousand times:I wish I could freeze time. Today I have to let Grace turn into an "official" kid.Tomorrow I have to say goodbye to Ruth's baby years. I love my girls. With all my heart. And I have a hard time letting go. My husband keeps telling me that I will only love and enjoy each of them more and more as they continue to ... 8 is Great Party…

My girlie recently turned eight and while I don't usually do big parties (yes, I am lame and I totally admit it) I did do a family luncheon for her baptism day for family and some friends. The first thing you all need to know is that when we just invite family over....it's still a big group (think 7 siblings that live close plus spouses and kids)....so I think we planned for close to 50 people. And since it was August and over 100 degrees outside we decided an indoor lunch party was the best idea. ... $5 Friday: Summer Cloud Paintings

Hello. Sooooooo today is $5 Friday and I do have a project to share. However, it's not the project I intended.  Actually I have several $5 Friday projects that have been stacking up, just waiting to be photographed, which is where they are right now...stacked up and waiting to be photographed. Elizabeth and I keep hinting that we have a lot going on behind the scenes right now.  And I'm not just hinting anymore I am telling you:  AGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!  We have A LOT going on behind the ... The Bateau Dress

My fall calendar is looking like chicken scratch with all the events on it right now and it's not even September yet!  And I had all these high hopes of sewing a back-to-school look book---but unfortunately that is just not happening.  So, I am moving the look book to a winter collection but decided that to make a few things for a new school year. Hannie requested neon, which my 80's heart was loving too.  So together we decided on a couple of things to add to her back to school wardrobe and ... View the Post
