A Vintage Jumper

I used this vintage pattern.... (sorry for the crappy picture--the pattern itself has a super fuzzy image) to make this vintage jumper. I had been holding/ hoarding it for a year, until I spied this pattern and thought that it would be darling together. I had some green fabric (binding left over from the Doll quilts), turquoise piping that matched perfectly....and some darling green vintage ... View the Post

Summer Camp Chair Tutorial (That you can make yourself!)

When I was little my siblings and I had these little camp stools--and we used them ALL the time.  I remember carting them around to parades, fireworks, campouts, bonfires, and every other summer activity that we did.  Ahh, those were the days.... AMAZING.  They ... View the Post

Much creative drive is certainly internally driven, but there is such benefit to creating beyond ourselves, beyond our family, and beyond our homes, for our community and the world around us. Connecting with and creating with others can be a powerful and inspiring act, as well as a wonderful gift for our children, teaching them how to connect and share their own passions ... $ 5 Friday– The “Love Boat” Dress…aka The Peasant Dress with Ruffle tutorial

....Pardon our dust today....our blog is a bit under construction.....hopefully we will be fully up and running soon! On to the dress: I have been thinking about a peasant dress with a ruffled collar for a long time now. And when I started googling a tutorial for one, I couldn't find one. So, in my crazy fashion, I made one up. And luckily this time it didn't have to go in "the-projects-of-doom-that-turned-out-horrifically" pile that is in my sewing cabinet (and is always pretty large). I ... View the Post
