Chocolate Mustache Suckers

This weekend my sister in law Stacy brought these out for my kids. (Which was really great because what I had planned to post today turned into a craft fail of epic proportions.)Stacy is a baker of all things delicious. And I am in love with these, her latest tasty creation---CHOCOLATE MUSTACHE SUCKERS!!!! Not only are they super fun and entertaining but are smooth and creamy made with either dark or milk chocolate. Oh, how glad I am that she married into my family...how could I not love someone ... View the Post

Spring Fever and $5 Friday: Dollar Store Edition

I was looking to "Springify" my home a bit....but I am just not wanting to put Easter out yet (it's so far away).  So, the other day while perusing the dollar store (Dollar Tree) I found these....and decided to pick up a couple.  I also grabbed 2 bunches of their hydrangeas (I can't find a picture online) and then used some spray paint I had and the hydrangeas to make 2 of these for the living room.....I also found this little bird that was cream with sand glued all over him. (His friend ... View the Post

Who’s Who?

Here's the deal. Elizabeth and I really do have exactly the same name. We can't help it...our parents each named us and then we married brothers (which is how we met).Recently we have had comments wondering how to tell who posts what and who is who...so in an effort to help sort us out my posts will show me as liZ and Elizabeth's will still be posted as by Elizabeth.Hopefully that will help, and if not just know that anything that takes real skill and is super cute was posted by Elizabeth and ... Shamrock Headband or Wrist Cuff

Grace is fickle. She loves her accessories but only certain ones at certain times and since I'm not sure what her mood will be on St. Patrick's Day I made this accessory a 2-for-1 deal. It's a headband or wrist cuff made from felt, grosgrain, and hot glue. Here's what you'll need: 1 felt circle (for the base) with grosgrain ribbon attached to each side. 4 medium sized hearts 4 small hearts 1 fat heart 1 button or bobble to finish it off Here's how to do it: #1. Sew a length ... View the Post

Family Rules.

I have had this on my crafting "to do" list for oh, a year or so......and I finally did it.  I have been wanting to put up our family rules up for a long time.  And here they are. I made the poster in photoshop and then sent it to Costco to print on a 16 x 20 poster size.  I actually think I may send it back again in a bigger size, or mat it when I can find a frame sale.  But for now, I had this frame and it works....and I love it.  We talk about these "family rules" all the time, but they are ... Spring Fever: A St. Patrick’s Day Dress

So I've never used a serger before. Ever. And neither had my mom, until last week when she pulled hers out and whipped up this dress for Grace. She surged the entire outfit, perfectly in one try while I ate cinnamon hearts, sipped a soda, and watched helplessly. The dress is really cute, although you can't see most of it (it was freezing the day I took her picture so her cardigan is covering the cute gathered waist and sleeveless bodice) and even though she selected her own accessories (plastic ...
