A New Spring Jumper…for the amost springtime.

Ok...So I'm wishful thinking. I wish it was springtime right now. Seriously. Right this second.I know I live in Utah and have been raised here and should know that it will snow and be drab until, oh, say about May...but a girl can dream can't she?And in my alternate dream reality that tells me that spring will be here soon I made Grace a little Springtime jumper. She even tried it out today during a brief few minutes of sunshine. Sure it will be cuter in a few months with sandals and flipflops ... View the Post

The Art of Homemaking Experiment—Revised Edition

I wasn't a cheerleader (thank goodness---no offense to any of you cheerleaders out there) or the valedictorian or the prom queen but I LOVED high school. I didn't think life could get any better. Then suddenly I woke up one ... View the Post

What am I talking about? Can't tell.Yet.I've been stewing over the change for several weeks now and I almost have all the rules set.Almost.Monday morning all will be revealed.Until then I am ... $5 Friday

$5 Friday (A Tuesday Edition)

I meant to get this up on Friday....but it was a bit of a crazy day.  So, here it is Tuesday and I am just getting to it.We are entering the "drooly" season around here and I was in need of some bibs.  I was going to make some, but just never got around to it.  So, while perusing Walmart (which I have a serious love/hate relationship with---but it's mega close and convenient--so I go there) I came across a pack of 6 terrycloth bibs for $5.  So, I grabbed them.  And then last Thursday I decided ... Gracie’s Jumper Debut

Today Gracie is making her debut in her brand new jumper right here on the family room couch.Grace has been sick for days with a high fever. She hasn't wanted to move, eat, or drink. But today when she saw Simon and her dad getting ready for church she wanted to get ready as well....and she wanted to wear this dress. So here she is: Fever 102 degrees, runny nose, bundled in blankets, watching A Bug's Life and wearing her brand new jumper and her favorite red shoes. This is the first smile we've ...
