I have been very overdue (hee...hee) for some baby gifts for some friends so I sat down one afternoon last week to play catch up. I first made two of these little dresses. I did two sizes 12-18 months mostly because these babies came last fall and I haven't been on the stick enough to get them a gift. So, large sizes were in order! I hope that they will fit next summer.... I added some cute pink rose trim that I found in the stash. And some matching pink buttons ... View the Post
A Heartfelt Gift: Diamonds (of the Neil variety)
With Valentines approaching I start to think about what gifts I can give to loved ones that they will not only like but will let them know how much I love them. So over the next few days I want to share some gifts that I both have given and received that are inexpensive, handmade, personal, and heartfelt. (And that you could personalize and give to your loved ones this Valentine's season.) The first gift that I want to share is one that I received for Christmas this year from my sister in law ... {You are Special Today} Pillow Tutorial
Growing up in my house, we had a "You are special today" plate. It was a fun tradition and we were always excited when our mom would get out that bright, red special plate from the china cupboard and put it down at someone's place setting. It was an added reminder about how special each one of us was to her. I was thinking about that plate the other day....and came up with this same idea, but as a pillow to place on different family member's beds throughout the year as a reminder of how ... View the Post

The clipping, the filing, the wrong math additions (that's a personal issue) was just more than I could do---which is completely my fault. But I know that there are good savings (my brain says it)! And every time I walk into a store, part of me wants to follow someone around with a coupon binder to soak in all of their couponing knowledge because let's face ... View the Post
Quilted Potholders from Scraps {Quilt Binding Tutorial}
Did you all have a fantastic weekend? I was a bit thrown off (physically) at the end of last week and couldn't figure out why until I realized I hadn't taken my thyroid medication a couple of days in a row...and without a thyroid at all.....that makes me SOOOO tired. Luckily I have a super supportive husband who let me catch up on some much needed sleep this weekend and I am feeling tons better. It's amazing what sleep can do for you (and your regular medications)! In other news, we ... View the Post
Let’s Celebrate: February Holidays
It's the first Saturday of the month so that means it's time list all the days we have ahead of us to be celebrated in February! At our house we always celebrate National Tortilla Chip Day and Candlemas Day (one of our favorites). But this year I've also got something planned for White T-shirt Day and Random Act of Kindness Day. (And I'm thinking about Do A Grouch A Favor Day....) How about you? Any days that look like fun? February 2014 Holidays: 1: National Freedom Day, Change ... View the Post
