One of our very good blogging friends Ashley of Make it and Love it just released her first book and we are SOOO excited for her! It is called No Sew Love and it is chalk-full of projects that you can make for yourself or your home without your sewing machine. ... View the Post
Sewing Saturday
Hi everyone! While liZ and I spend the weekend going through all of the most fantastic skirts you all donated so we can get everyone's names in for prizes, we also want to see what else you have been sewing! Please remember that this linky party is for handmade and sewn items only--no shops, or other giveaways. Also, we know that comments are diminishing on blogs...but we'd love for you to visit a few other links and leave them some comment love. Everyone appreciates when their sewing work ... View the Post
A Sewing Night to Remember

I LOVE them because (a) they are SIMPLE to make and (b) because they feel like you are wearing your pajamas. (I made 4 for me and have been living in them all summer;) I made this one out of some darling wide striped knit from Riley Blake for liZ and then dragged her out into a ... View the Post
The Art of Homemaking….on liking what you do.
Today's art of homemaking is all about me needing a reminder. I have been caught up in my cleaning the house duties...and being a bit of a whiner. So, here's my throwback post to mostly myself ;) When I was a young mom (and still somedays) I felt very unproductive. I felt like all I did all day long was clean faces, clean bums, clean clothes, clean kitchens and try to take a shower once in awhile throughout the process. And after awhile I started loathing the everyday work of ... View the Post
