This is the story of my Golden Blinged Sewing Machine and how I fell in love with sewing.

This is my first sewing machine: Alright...so it wasn't a golden blinged sewing machine when I got it...but it is now. On kitchens, appliances and family….

  When we said goodbye to our first house last month, it was a bittersweet day. I knew that it was the right thing to do, but leaving it was so hard. We went around and took pictures of the kids in every room, had some good cries and also some good laughs....and the kids talked about what each of them had done in all of the rooms. But for me? On My Mind…(Why I Sew)

For the past few weeks I've been thinking a lot about why I do what I do...specifically, why I sew. I'm not sure what's caused this sudden siege of introspection.  I usually go about my business drinking sodas, sewing, playing with the kids, doing laundry, driving the carpool, doing the grocery shopping, mopping the floor, cooking the meals, and embarrassing myself in public all in a whirlwind everyday...and I don't ever stop to think about why I do some of what I do.
