Quilt

Down the middle quilt…

I have been making a few quilts lately.  This one was a gift.....for a friend who loves all things bright colors!  It made me branch out a bit more than I normally do with colors....but I think I need to do that more often because although the fabrics are not usually something I would put together I do I love how bright, cheery and fun it looks!   I just did a simple strip quilt with a piece of main fabric down one-third of it.  And I do love strip quilts...because they are fast!  I did the ... Susan from Living With Punks invited us to join in her Home Sewn Series where a lovely bunch of bloggers are getting together to sew items for their homes.   See the terrific list below?  It's a fun group...and will be an excellent series!  The only problem is... ...that Susan invited us awhile back...and in between the invitation and today a lot of things happened...including me moving and reorganizing our home library.  (No...it's not enough for me to hoard ... Today we get to participate in No Big Dill's Sew all 26 letters series, and it has been so fun to see what everyone has been making.  She has a couple of guest posters a week and then she is sewing all 26 letters of the alphabet.  Did you see her P is for Paper Dress?.....wowza.  It is gorgeous and really is made out of real paper.  Katy really is a master of the sewing universe....
