A Tutorial. A Hoop Skirt.

Remember these dresses? A little bit of background on these dresess.....would you believe me if I told you that they were made in 48 hours?  Yep.  It was a whirlwind of tulle.....and crazy sewing.  And at the last minute, I decided that Hannie's dress needed a hoop skirt to make her dress super full with all that tulle on it. (It didn't hold it out with just a crinoline slip.) So, I drove to Joann's, bought the supplies...and whipped up the hoop skirt in about a half an hour before we ... View the Post

Thrifted Thursday– Vintage Sweet Sue Doll

Ok, so this is not thrifted....but it IS one of my favorite vintage items...and it's not even mine.  It's my mom's (and aunt's) Sweet Sue dolls. Every Sunday dinner of my childhood was spent at my Grandma Lova's house.  And after dinner every Sunday, my sister and I would ask if we could play with my mom's and aunt's (luckily there were 2---I am an identical twin you see) Sweet Sue dolls.  It was kind of the "American Girl" doll of our childhood.  My sister and I would dress, and change outfits ...
