Thrifted Thursday–A Vintage Book Pumpkin Tutorial

In case you missed this a couple of weeks ago on Miss Lovie's Halloween event.... And then my husband jumped on the bandwagon…

Recently I wanted to make something new for the front porch. But where as our time and budget are both limited this is what I came up with... ...a "new" wreath (made from an old wreath and some flowers I bought at the Dollar Store) and a new coat of paint for the front door. (The door had been white but I literally mixed up a whole bunch of left over paints in the garage to have enough to paint the door a new color which looks like this and miraculously matches the rest of our house.)Then ... A Fall Skirt

I originally bought these two fabrics to make a tote bag out of.  But, as  I was looking at my pile of fabrics...I thought how cute they would look together as a skirt.  And since it is Elsie Marley's sew kids' clothes week, a skirt it became.  In a naptime.  Day 1---done.   Whew! Final Run and Play Project–Tulle Cute

Today we are showing our final project at Project Run and Play. Since it is signature look week, you all knew we were going vintage, didn't you?Grace's dress is designed after a classic Shirley Temple dress, which fits her personality. The dress is made of white cotton and yards of swiss dot tulle with black bias tape around the hem.
