$5 Friday

$5 Monday

I was slowing recovering from a month of weeds and laundry on Friday so I am playing catch-up. I have a few yard sale purchases that I carted all the way back (2500 miles to be exact), that at the time I wasn't sure why, but now am very glad for the trouble. This is my $2 dollar chair. And here she is after a can of primer (I had the primer) and a $2.97 can of Krylon cherry red spray paint.Lovely. ... View the Post

The Project that Started it All

A friend asked me for a photo of this wall so I decided to post it for her on the blog with a description of what it is.This is the project that started it all for me...The wall in my entry way. I had some photos to hang but didn't like the arrangement. I talked over the framing in of the photos with my husband and one night when I had returned home from my night class ViolA! there it was just like I had imagined it! (Thanks again Jon.)So just like that we started making things---everything from ... View the Post

Time to Buy an Iron

Apparently it's time for me to buy an iron. (Or at least use one.) I just looked at the blog and really looked at the photo I posted of me wearing the flower pin. My shirt looks like trash! And, yes, that's really what I wore today.I should not be allowed out in public. ... View the Post

$5 Friday…Flower Pins

Hey!So I forgot it is $5 Friday today. It's a holiday here in Utah and we're on our way out the door---the boys to go fishing and me to go fabric shopping. But since we were gone last week.....Here's a quick $5 idea. I put it together just a few minutes ago. When I need a quick something to put on a plain T-shirt these pins are easy to whip up.Supplies:1. Scrap Fabric (For mine I used 3 different sizes of scrap.)2. A Pin BackInstructions:1. To make each flower run you run a piece of scrap ... View the Post

Beth

In case you were wondering about Beth (the camera wiz from the last post) here she is. Yep, she looks just like that. You'd think she'd get tired of being dressed up all the time.Which reminds me...no, there will not be an "elizabeth" doll. I don't think anyone would like a peggie in pajamas with disheveled hair. Unless, I make one that looks like the other elizabeth and not me. Now there's an idea... ... View the Post

Invasion of the Peg People

So, I'm finally doing it...putting items on etsy.My friend Beth, who is a wiz with a camera and all things technical, took the pictures and formatted them so I could upload them to our shop. (Thanks again Beth.) Then this morning I began adding them in.I chose a handful of my favorites (all made after the manner of my family and friends) and those will be the ones I make and sell in my shop. The peggie in the picture above is "Grace" and has white hair and ruffles just like my baby girl Grace.I ... View the Post
