New and Improved Scripture Bags

I've recently changed my scripture bag pattern. I made my first pattern so that the scriptures would fit snugly inside. However, I had complaints that it was too snug. So I've revamped the pattern giving scripture sets a more comfortable fit. ... View the Post

My Second Attempt

Last night after I made the turtle my 5 year old decided he needed a stuffed creation as well. So I fired up the machine and made a simple version of some dolls I saw recently on a really cool Chinese crafting blog. Simon (my son) loves him. My First Attempt

Yesterday I got an invitation to my niece's 1st birthday party. In an effort to make her something different I decided to not only try my hand at making a 3-D creation but to make it up on my own---no pattern. What was I thinking?!?I used terry cloth and felt. Apron Spring Boutique

This weekend we have a few of our items at a fun little boutique right here in Saratoga Springs. It is the Apron Strings Boutique and is located just off of Redwood Road at the Avondale Academy. I snapped this photo earlier this morning just before I finished getting all of our items out on display. I love set up times and meeting all the creative people who make such diverse stuff. This boutique has some really fun vendors. Two of my favorites at this show are a wonderful police officer who ... View the Post

A Surgery and a sweater redo….

I am down for a bit recovering from surgery, and on the couch, so I thought that I would post an older project that I haven't gotten around to yet....Behold--the sweater set redo.I had a really nice cashmere sweater set that my mom had given me for Christmas quite a few years ago. But, I haven't worn it for awhile because it was just looking a bit dated. So, I cut up it (gasp...) and went for it.Here's what I did...I didn't get a picture of the sweater before so imagine the before.I started by ... View the Post
