Hey! It's the first Saturday of March so that means it's time to announce all the days we have to celebrate this coming month...you know...so you can start planning for National Potato Chip Day and Something on a Stick Day... But before we get to the calendar... this month the nation will be celebrating three things that we can fully endorse: Crafting, Quilting, and Women because March is officially National Craft Month, National Quilting Month, and National Women's History Month!!! Scrumptious Quilt
Do you ever feel like you are always a month behind? I so naively thought that as my kids grew up that life would slow down and I could get caught-up on projects. Um....apparently not. I feel like life is busier than ever right now. And with us being in the "middle ground" of a huge move (that we get to do all over in a couple of weeks) I am feeling a bit like a chicken with my head cut off. And I fear that I am only at the beginnings of teenage "busyness." (All you teenage moms are ... View the Post
SNAP! (And a surprise…for one of you)
Often Elizabeth and I feel so fortunate for the opportunities that we are lucky enough to enjoy...and this is one of those times. For the past several years we've attended, volunteered, and taught at the SNAP conference...and it's become an annual event for us. We love it. There is so much positive energy and the attendees are always so much fun we can't help but leave reenergized and happy to have been a part of it. So when we were asked about organizing a sewing room for SNAP we jumped at ... View the Post
Coral, Gray and Mustard Quilt

What I Wish I’d Known When I Started Sewing: Melissa from the Polka Dot Chair
Today we have an extra special guest as a part of our "What I Wish I'd Known When I Started Sewing Series". It's our friend Melissa from the Polka Dot Chair. We've been lucky enough to spend a lot of time with Melissa...talking, eating, sewing...all even though we live hundreds of miles apart. She is warm, fun, and the kind of person that you not only want to be friends with...but to sew with as well! So we are so very happy to have her here today sharing some of her sewing advice with us. ... View the Post
And we interrupt our regularly scheduled series….
Sorry, we are interrupting our series for a day....but I promise it's for a good cause (and good tutorial)! Today we are over at Sew, Mama, Sew sharing in their quilting series and giving you a project for all those orphan quilt blocks that didn't make it into quilts. They make great pockets!!!! See you there! And just to let you know.....coming up this week we will be talking buttonholes, zippers, sewing darts, inserting sleeves and much more! (It's going to be a good week....) And we ...
