Melted Snowman Ornament Tutorial

We had a family party this last weekend and we had such a fun time. Everyone brought delicious food and treats, games and we had a ball. I did a craft for the kiddos while the adults were finishing up dinner (do you remember as a kid how long it would take adults to eat ;) And you still have time if you are looking for something to do to keep your kids or grandkids busy next week!  These would also make the perfect gift for teachers, neighbors or anyone that is still on your list... We did a ... View the Post

Holiday Party Games

Soooo....every year my husband is in charge of the holiday games at his grandmother's annual family Christmas party. And every year we are on top of it....every year, except for this year.  The party is in two days and I've got no ideas... Here are a few of the games that we've done in the past: A holiday version of Family Feud where I polled the people on our Facebook Page for the answers to the questions.... It was a lot of fun!  And since it was a family party we had the teams split into ... View the Post

The Little Black Skirt–Holiday Outfit

I am not sure why but I am feeling so behind this Holiday season.  I really wanted to sew everyone something for a fun holiday picture, but I am so running out of time.  So, last week I picked up a few things for the boys and hurried and made one outfit that is always simple but still has cute style.  I decided to do black, white or red for everyone this year--because classic is always good in my opinion ;) I decided that I was going to wear and older black dress and I made the little black ... 7 Toys That Your Kids Will Actually Play With

With Christmas coming Elizabeth and I were talking about the toys our kids have loved and which ones definitely didn't live up to the hype.  And what we found is that our lists are very similar...especially in the "most played with" category. So if you still have some last minute shopping to do...here are a few toys that, from experience, we would suggest: FOR THE YOUNGER CROWD (like ages 3-6) *AQUADOODLE It's big fun for the little artists without a big mess. (And my kids also love it's ... View the Post

Felt Christmas Pillows with Tutorial

I needed some easy teacher's gifts for the Holidays this year...and have kind of made it a tradition to do a handmade gift and then a gift card for school supplies.  So when the Jo-Ann's #MakeItGiveIt campaign came along, I knew it would be the perfect match.  I wandered through the store and found some amazing cream premium wool felt and knew it would make the perfect pillows for my kids' teachers.  And since pillows are easy....it was a perfect afternoon project! Here is what you will need if ... View the Post

An Ugly Pillowcase Party

Last night we had our family Christmas party up at Elizabeth's house.  She was super nice and made all of the kids darling pajamas. I on the other hand was not so nice and made all of my husbands siblings (and their spouses) ugly pillow cases.  And they were HO-HO-HO-rrendous! ... View the Post
